"Reisen til julestjernen"

is a classic Norwegian Christmas tale about Sonja, a poor girl who sets out to find the Christmas star after the king's daughter vanishes trying to fetch it from the sky. Helped by forest creatures and Santa, and opposed by an evil count and a witch, Sonja finally receives the star , and turns out to be the missing princess herself.
